Aruur (Tamariki/Children)

Somali (Te Reo Māori / English)

Children are the light of our Ummah and are considered an amanah (trust) from Allah. Children, with their tender hearts and minds, absorb tremendous amounts of information from the world around them. This information shapes the way they think, the way they act, and the way they see themselves and others. Children need to be provided with a nurturing and loving environment that allows for learning, growth, and mistakes.

At Muslim Wellbeing Ōtatuahi, we are passionate about providing ways for our kids to have fun, learn, be connected to their faith, create friendships, and be able to understand and express their needs and emotions.

AME (Active Muslim Explorers)

Active Muslim Explorers (AME) was established in 2016 as a youth group for young Muslim people to promote siratul raheem (friendships) and encourage their deen.

Over the years, AME has grown and evolved. We currently organise and facilitate various activities for school aged Muslim children (Year 5-13) and their families.

Within our group, we aim to promote leadership skills, interpersonal relationships, spiritual growth, and community spirit through regular activities. To help us achieve this, we incorporate adventure, outdoor education, and curated workshops.

If you are interested in joining AME or if you have any questions, please contact us at ameleadership@gmail.com.
