Asturlab Cultural Centre and Simurgh Music School have come together to present “Naghmat Al Sama نغمات السماء” (which is Arabic for "Melodies from the Sky'') in The Great Hall at Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre, Christchurch on Friday June 30th from 7pm.
This concert promises to be a heartfelt evening of music created to celebrate the Islamic holiday of Eid Al-Adha. The performance will feature traditional songs and instruments played by an accomplished group of musicians creating a rich tapestry of sounds from around the Islamic world.
